TEACHING AND MASTERCLASSES Helen Field is a graduate of the Royal Northern College of Music, Manchester, in singing and piano. She furthered her vocal studies as a post graduate at the Royal College of Music in London, where she studied with Ruth Packer, and later, Vida Harford. She possesses an L.R.A.M. in vocal tuition, and also, a diploma of education in the teaching of music. Winner of the Young Welsh Singers competition. Having won a Royal Society of Arts scholarship, she then became a fellow of the Royal Society of Arts. In 2003, she was also made a fellow of the Glyndwr University of Wales, in her home town, Wrexham. Helen spends some of her time giving masterclasses both at home and abroad, adjudicating in singing competitions, and teaching both in college, and at home. She is currently vocal professor at Cardiff and Birmingham Universities.
